Japanese meat and potato stew

600 ml | Dashi Soup |
4 tbs | Soy Sauce |
4 tbs | Mirin |
1 tbs | Sugar |
200 g | Pork (any part will do) |
Meat and Potato Stew
One of the most typical Japanese home cuisine.

Chop up potatoes, carrot, and onion. Cut the meat as well.

Pour all the Dashi soup, soy sauce, Mirin and sugar into the pot, and add meat & vegetables at the same time.

Add kitchen paper on top of the food directly. This will help all the ingredients to absorb the soup evenly.

Set it over strong fire. Do not mix it.

Once it starts to boil, turn the fire into medium and leave it for 15-20 minutes.

Turn off the fire when when the liquid volume is reduced to almost halve. Leave it for a while until it cools down.

Put the pot on medium fire again. Remove the kitchen paper.
Boil it until it gets good taste.
Good matching with miso soup and plain rice. Enjoy your meal!
